Nail in Tire - Rolling Diamater
e90 n52 Xdrive. Purchased new tires about 8k miles ago from costco and I'm looking to use their warranty. One of my tires has a nail in it 1.5 inches from the sidewall and costco asked me to buy a new tire at a prorated price, refusing to repair the tire due to liability issues. The old tires measure between 7/32 and 8/32 and given that they're fairly new, is it ok to slap on a new 10/32 tire for one corner? Should I replace both rears at a minimum?
I'll also look for a tire repair shop and see if someone will do it. Since the puncture is not all the way through, I'm not leaking air. I don't want to get out the good old tire plug. |

pull it and measure how much it went in-if didnt go past thread block depth than ur good. if you think it went too deep but not puncture you could have that area patch from the inside to CYA, if it not in the outer should block u should be ok for repair. 1 new tire should be ok but i would rotate it to rr wheel for wear
