BMW E92 M3 hood on 335 E93

Hi,

I have been searcing, but did not find any 100% sure answers! Is it possible to swap the hood from a 335 into a M3 E92 hood without modification? Any pics?

do you think it would be possible cuz of the longer engine? it will probably be longer than the 335's

Why dont you try the Vorsteiner hood? It looks like the M3's but without the air openings.

I am pretty sure you need the whole front end - the hood fendors and bumper as the hood is a slightly different width so you need the narrower fenders and the bumper to line up with the fenders, then you need wheels with less offset - I would start looking aftermarket on the hood.

you should be able to put the hood on the E92 and E93. Definately not on the E90 or E91 because of the hood kidney grill tops. You wont be able to put the E90 M3 hood on the E90/E91 because the E90M3 has a E92 front end.

Pretty sure the hood should be interchangeable.

The bumper, fenders are not as single pieces, because they all line up together as a unit.

This is all speculation...mainly b/c M3 has not been officially released here in the US. Therefore, not maybe people have access to these parts to play around with.

I know M3 is already out in other parts of the world, now if only someone out there with one or with access to the parts, would be willing to do the swap and let us know for sure.

I think retrofitting the hood will require some fender work because the M3 is wider. Similar to what people did on the E46 M3.

However, Vorsteiner currently has a power dome hood out for the E93 that is a direct bolt on. They are also working on a vented version that is more aggressive.

No it doesnt fit perfectly M3 hoods are always a longer and a bit wider but you can always get OEM m3 hood style which is basically a m3 hood but for e92s non m3
