high beam flash not working in the daylight SOLVED

I never did get to the bottom of this, works at night. I coded the front fog lights to flash with the high beam when you pull the stalk. Any ideas anyone? Has some suggestions from members here about coding it but nothing works

Is the light switch set to automatic? If so a plausible explanation is that it prevents the lights from flashing when it's not dark outside.

I was just researching this, yes it is, so if I leave the switch in 0,which still allows the DRLS to be on day or night, the high beam flash will work in daylight. I’ll check it tomorrow, I guess the light sensor is the culprit in auto mode

Culprit may not be the right word. The auto setting insures that the lights come on when it gets dark, and it would seem that they don't come on when it's not. Finding a way to override that function may be impossible.

Just a bit annoying if I have to have the light switch setting to 2 during the day just to be able to use flash to pass. Means that my low beams are on when they don’t need to be, that’s what the DRLS are for. Ideally you want the setting in zero

I checked mine, no matter the switch position when I pull on the stalk it flashes the high beams, in both daylight and the dark.

Any ideas why my mine won’t? Is it a coding solution do you think? It’s pretty annoying

No clue. I'd return the coding to the original config and see if that fixes it.

I've checked mine - same, High Beam flashes in every position of the switch.

Checked in daylight, high beam doesn’t flash in any setting unless the low beams are on. Don’t think I can revert the coding as I’d lose everything I’ve coded, and I’ve coded a lot. I’m wondering if when I coded the front fog Lights to flash with the high beam there’s some kind of conflict.

The standard config of the fogs is that they will only work when the low beams are on. Coincidence? I doubt it.

I think, that's your issue.

I have coding done too, but the other way - fog lights can be activated with either: parking lights, low beams or high beams. I often enough use fog lights at late dusk/pre-dawn hours when I don't need low beams.

Yes it’s a bit strange, when I code ABBIEGEL L and R function to 05 I get the high beam working but lose the functionality of manually turning on the fogs with the switch. In 08 setting I lose the high beam and retain the functionality of the fogs via the switch

Solved my Mr Pingu…Perfect! You are absolutely correct, the Above settings I changed the values and everything works as it should.i changed the values of ABBIEGEL to 09 and 0A function, and output 0B and 0C. FERNL 1 was already the correct settings, and I changed FERNL 2 to output 01 and 02. I now have high beam flash for both xenon’s and fog lights to flash in the daylight in auto switch setting, and the fog light switch remains able to turn on and off manually. The 0 switch setting also (DRLS ON) also gives me high beam and fogs flashing together, and the fog light switch can also be turned on and off manually. Can’t thank you enough for all your time and effort, it’s been frustrating me for so long, much appreciated
