They are pretty much all the same. I've ran K&N drop in filters on all my previous BMW and never had issues.

Thanks for the tip on the discount! I picked up a set of filters for both of our F80s. The shipping and tax was kind of a buzzkill but still came in at $65.71 per set shipped considering we got two of them. Not bad I think.

Just as a note. Contrary to NA engines, drop-in filters will not provide any additional power on the S55 unless the engine is tuned for a good amount more boost (and even then it is debatable).
On a stock tune (or any mild tune), the ECU will limit boost through the wastegates. So drop-in filters may only help the turbo work a little less but the engine will not produce any more power. As long as folks understand that they are only getting enhanced sound from the drop-in, it's all good Heck. I paid a hefty price for my MPE just to enhance the sound of my car ).
