Question Help with Trunk that won't open

2014 328 (F30): Trunk stopped opening all of the sudden. Won't open with Fob or button near driver or button on trunk. I don't hear any noises at all from the latch. Valet switch is in correct position. I removed entire trunk harness which connects to unit above battery in trunk and couldn't find any shorts. Replaced trunk latch. Tested trunk button. Tested valet switch. I'm out of ideas. Could there be a short in wire from valet switch to rear unit that is always telling rear unit that valet switch is on? Anyone know how to over-ride valet switch at rear unit? Disconnect some wires? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions. -John
