Best deal in the GTA for a PE (installed)
Hello folks!
I searched this forum for this topic, but only saw a lot of FS/FT/WTB threads that expired long ago. So here's my question, for those of you who've gotten a BMW OE PE at a GTA retailer; what did you get it for and how much did you pay to get it installed? I'm definitely in the market for one after seeing/hearing one in person on a e92 328xi recently. But I'm a bit sticker shocked at some of the older threads here indicating it's some $2000 installed at a GTA dealer. I'm sure the super negotiators of this forum has gotten better deals and I'm very interested to hear what you got! Here's what I'm thinking: Option 1: Get you fine folks to tell me which GTA BMW dealer offers the best deal to have a PE installed (looking at $1500 range all in) - most convenient and safe option, but probably most expensive. Option 2: Order the PE from Tischer ($990 USD shipped), get it shipped to Buffalo, then find an indy shop in Buffalo to install it and drive it back across the border - least safe and most complex option, but probably least expensive. Option 3: Order it and get it installed at a BMW dealer in Buffalo (assuming the PE is cheaper over in the US) - probably most safe as it's being done at a BMW dealer, but questionable about overall cost savings. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my inquiry! |

Thanks kstylez!
Is Nick in the Service Dept or the Parts Dept? How long ago did you get it installed so I can reference it when I talk to him? Thanks! -Rick |

Talk to Vereen at BMW Toronto he's the parts manager. Tell him Dilan sent you. You'll probably get a good deal on the exhaust. I got it installed by Ivo at Columbus Auto for an hour of labor

Thanks for the input folks!
So I got Nick (Parts) at Budd's BMW to match kstylez pricing ($1523 installed including tax); but I had to leverage the fact that my front brakes and oil is due for a change and let them do that for me too. Thanks for the input folks! I knew you guys would help me find a good deal! -Rick |

A little bit too late to help you, but it is actually really easy to install yourself. I put a remus exhaust on mine in about an hour in my garage.

Been driving with the pe on my 328xi e92 for almost a month now and I have to say, it's sounds amazing. Especially driving slowly around parking lots, downshifting and cold starts in the morning.
Makes the car sound much more masculine. I love the burble when I release the throttle and the rumble at any rpm. As the previous poster said, just turn off ur radio, roll down the windows and make sure ur have a full tank of gas As for videos. There are lots on YouTube. But trust me. It sound better in person. |
