330e Thoughts
Hello all!
I am looking at buying a used 2017 330e and would love to hear some thoughts from owners. I know the electric range has been criticized, but it seems like a great option for me. I can leave the car plugged in pretty much all the time while it's parked in the garage, and I only live about 4 miles away from school. Most of my trips will be less than 20 miles and less than 50mph, But in case I need to go further (or want to go faster ) I can get great combined mileage and performance. The car has about 23k on the odometer, so it's still in good shape. The only thing I wonder about is battery degradation; has the battery degraded at all, and how many miles will I be losing on top of the already limited range? Also, has anyone done any tuning? I am looking at doing Boostmod3 for some increased engine performance whenever I want to have some fun Again, would love to hear some thoughts on performance, efficiency, and Boostmod3 if anyone has done it. |

I'm happy with my 2017 330e . Have MG Flasher on mine. It's in beta stage but hopefully it'll be out of beta in the near future. 330e has serious performance when mapped.
You'll get between 10 and 15 miles at most in electric power. |

My friend has one he love the mileage on as he only have to drive about 10 miles to work... so he doesn't use gas until going home .
Now I'm kinda thinking getting one too but my current F36 is still good so I might end up shopping for the new version G series, if an M340i will not sway me to the dark side. |

Talked to a guy at the mall charging station before they closed the mall and his 7 year old Ford Fusion had no battery degradation. So he said. Don't know about BMW's, but I doubt you'll see any drop. You can change the individual cell if you do, instead of the complete traction battery.

Awesome! How is MG Flasher? Better or worse than BM3?

Yep! For me, the hope is that I can go most days without using any gas at all, and save it for when I'm going somewhere far away. |

Definitely not quite as fast as the 330i - 340i, but BM3 should change that. based on another thread I've seen here I could get my 0-60 into the low 5's, and my 1/4 mile into the low 13's.
