I can live with all non-user friendly buttons but not the windshield wiper, the rain sensor system always move in the wrong interval, when there is only a drizzle, it moves like crazy, but rain drops accumulated and cover all over the windshield, it takes ages to move once, I have to do it manually, much prefer the time-adjustable intermediate wiper of what it used to had in E36, thought they learnt the lesson from E90, but obviously they didn't.

That my front bumper seems to be a bug magnet. I don't know if it's the bumper design or the colour of my car, but my front bumper seems to frequently be a bug graveyard.

Things I Hate about my F30
My 2013 AH3 has the following quirks:
-squeaks from the leather chair (where the back cushion meets the butt cushion) (sometimes fixed with leather conditioner) -random plastic creaks from the A/C vents -sometimes, the cold starts are a little rough -Runflat tires (remedied with new MPSS tires - night and day difference) -Lack of BMW Assist which means no more traffic in Nav (discontinued per BMW NA) -sometimes, my steering wheel squeaks when I turn it |

you can code the sensor's sensitivity easily and speed to your liking so easy fix there. |

Glad I'm not the only one that notices this. I actually thought it was the area I live, the time of day I'm driving or just the fact that my E36 & E46 were black so I didn't notice it as much and my F30 is Estoril Blue so it shows up more. I think there's more surface area on the front of the F30 vs previous models as well. Regardless, I absolutely LOVE my car and I'm glad I don't have all the complaints that other F30 owners seem to have.

Had been driving my wife's '16 Tiguan quite a bit and one thing I definitely notice with my 328 how flimsy it feels in comparison. The doors are light and close with a hollow sound vs. the VW with heavy doors which closes with a satisfying thud. While the VW feels like a tank, the 3 series feels like a Toyota or something. The trade off with the VW is it is the equivalent of plummeting down the highway in a brick with high coefficient of drag and the result is sub par gas mileage.
Usual creaks, crackling, little rattles, flexing and crackling from the HVAC area... my final verdict is that while the car drives well, handles well and has a fantastic powertrain, it is kind of an over priced piece of shit. Been thinking lately this will be my last BMW at lease end. Only way I would get another one is if they basically gave one away to me. Like a 320 or 330i for $300 a month or less. I think when you get up into the lines, like the 5 series, or X5's or whatever, it is a different story, but BMW is thus far really good at making a $40-50000 car feel like a $25k one. The 3 series in comparison to much of the line, though a top seller, is basically a discount model for those who can't afford a more expensive BMW. I haven't been in the new 5 series but have driven both the previous gen 528 and 535 and they are definitely higher quality than the 3 series line.

top things I hate about my F30:
1. No auto sync climate control 2. Video quality of back up camera. It could be better 3. How my car reacts in low rpm |

The only thing I hate about my F30 is that I don't love it.

I think this is also happening to me. But let me tell you what I know. When I do a cold start, my car makes a loud noise then dies out a bit then gets loud again then dies out then goes to normal volume. Is this the same issue?- stalling out?

I love the car but I don't like the wiper controls and the air conditioning. Both require a lot of attention and fiddling when they should be set and forget.

I hate that comfort access only gives you touch locking/unlocking on the front doors, and not the rear doors. My freaking Volvo had that simple function.
I hate the door unlock button is in the middle of the dash so if I hop out forgetting to unlock the car I have to scramble back in to open the whole car. They should just be in either driver or passenger side doors FFS!! Gutless engine (330i) but I knew that going in and had to compromise somewhere. Now I kinda wished I got a 340 and a flipping roof box...sigh Car didn't come with tints in the rear from factory which is stupid for a CA car...wish I'd thought about that a bit more and had it thrown in with the sale - now I gotta think about finding a shop I trust to do it and what % and brand to get. Not getting the track handling package. Couldn't find a car with it at the time and couldn't wait for a special order car. The wing mirrors are crap visibility wise but I covered that in another thread. The fineline wood trim is just shitty looking - hasn't grown on me. All told I still like the car but I don't love it and that's a problem!!
