That's awesome! Unfortunately, the service advisors here where I live don't care and always come up with all these lies. I really wish the could get fired and get new ones. Its really hard to want another BMW when they can't even help you when it's under warranty. I gave up. They can do whatever they want, when they want, if they want.

I had the same rattle. My dealer took the center dash vents all out and wrapped everything in foam tape then put it all back together. Rattles gone!

-The speaker in the right front door was blasted, and it must be replaced. I hope this won`t be the start of a row of problems. I have owned a BMW 116 before this one, and there was no problems |

The dealership was able to completely resolve the problem. They removed the trim, placed felt tape, then secured the trim. Not a squeak or rattle now!

So I am on month 3 of Rattle H*ll! I have on in the HUD which the dealership had the car for a month to fix and now its worse. There is a second rattle in the shifter/radio area which is slightly less angering. The third is in the B-pillar which I could live with if it was the only one!
This could be my lat BMW. |

Well, I got used to it... I still get very upset, but BMW can't fix their shit... It's really saddening to see such a brad which such annoying defects. They can't do anything about it, and the steering wheel vibration they will check next week... If they can't fix that, I'll switch to Mercedes or Audi and will never look back...

I have squeak from all around the rear seats! Very noisy all the time and I can't believe it will happen only one week after i pickup the car.
Not sure if the through loading options cause the squeak. |

We have a squeak that's coming from the plastic trim in front of the shifter. Pushing on that part elicits the sound. Will have the dealer rectify this when I have the ASS re-coded.

I just developed the dash chirp around 6000 miles on the odometer. It's around the Nav screen area, seems like the foam taping everything helps?

temp related for you? When it was REALLY cold here it was crazy, as it warmed up, hasn't been too bad...I'm positive it's plastics rubbing together under expansion/contraction from my defrost vents near the windshield.

I noticed the chirping after a few days with the car, it comes and goes but I'm trying my best to ignore it. I'll consider letting the dealer know about. It's the one and only thing so far that I am dissapointed with...
I just saw on tv a news special called "BMW: A Driving Obsession." They allowed a reporter into the BMW plant and were discussing how much intricate detail goes into making the car such as design, comfort, and sound frequency for alarms in the car. The sounds of the alarms segment stood out to me because the designer said he'd listen to the same sounds nearly 2000 times a day to get that perfect pitch because repeated sounds in the car that could annoy customers is a major concern. I'm thinking, all this time and detail spent on how alarms sound in the car but no one noticed or cared to notice this annoying chirp? What gives? |

I started noticing it in the summer and still notice it now in the winter so I don't think its temp related.
