GTS DCT software/clutch pack

Is the clutch pack on the US spec DCT tranny the same as the GTS? I read somewhere that the GTS has a larger clutch pack therefore more capable of taking the faster shifts and that it also has a secondary cooler.

I wonder how safe it is having the car tuned with the software from a car with different hardware (if indeed it is different) I'm thinking more wear and tear but are there any other issues that could arise in the long run? Possibly more tranny/clutch overheating on the track etc?

Please chime in and share your thoughts and knowledge.

I'm actually running GTS s/w on mine and not going back to stock

Don't get me wrong I don't regret one bit getting it, it's worth it and it makes the car more enjoyable. I'm just curious to know what the side effects might be if any.
