Jlevi SW | Vorsteiner Design Sketches - You Vote, We'll Make it a Reality!
Hey guys!
As you may have read in this thread, we are going to follow up our success in designing the V-35 hood alongside forum members by designing the next line of Vorsteiner BMW products. While an E92 M3 style lip will follow, and a diffuser will probably come, the first two items on the docket are a vented hood (to dissipate heat from the turbos) and an aerodynamic bootlid (for added downforce). The bootlid design is pretty much set, but you have some choices in the hood. A) Vent Style 1 | No Eyelids B) Vent Style 2 | No Eyelids C) Vent Style 1 | Styling Eyelids D) Vent Style 2 | Styling Eyelids So, place your votes, and within a few months, you'll be able to install this hood on your very own 1 Series Thanks guys! I vote C but i think the eyelid line needs a lil work. It still rounds out around the bigger light. The photoshop going around has a more straight line to it.

I vote B bc idk how those Eye Lids will look in reality.. but the photo A i kinda like the bigger vents but kinda dont idk lol. in photo C looks good just afraid the hood would look awkward being bent in the front for those eye lids..

How about C with just the vents and not the hood "scoop" or center vent or is that a "power dome"?

That's a center vent and is IMO what makes the hood. The N54 engine has a tendency to dissipate heat right at the front center of the hood so this portion of the hood is 110% functional. Check out this shot of a 335 in the snow:

will there be an option or a way to close part of the vent for those of us with an open filter intake? Water in the intake would not be good.....
