Angel Eyes
Hey guys,
I tried looking this up but no one had a direct answer to my query. On the iDrive system, I am aware that you can turn off your angel eyes through settings in the "lighting" menu...however, I noticed that ever since I installed the LUX H8 V4s, the option in the lighting menu doesn't actually turn off the angel eyes unless my main switch on the left of the steering wheel has the main lights off. This is the case during the day and at night, is there any way I can fix this? Cheers for the help fellas |

If the LUX H8 v4s are LED bulbs, this is likely because an LED bulb without a restictor gets a constant stream of power.
The license plate bulbs on my e46 M3 were swapped to LED and would remain illuminated for 2-3 minutes after locking the car. |

Lux uses 8 Cree LED's in their V4 kit, btw.

The Lux H8 does use LED's. From their website:
The LUX H8 V4 angel eyes use 8 of the newest Cree LED’s to offers unmatched brightness while its patented pending design makes both the inner and outer angel eyes as bright as possible. The new patented pending heatsink has a single flat side which correlates with the connector side of a standard H8 bulb, allowing for easier orientation when installing |

It sounds like you have your DRL Lights on.....
The LUX H8 V4 bulbs will only turn on when there is power applied to them, so they will operate exactly the same as the stock halogen bulb. The lights cant turn on by themselves so it sounds like the DRL lights are turned on which would make them angel eyes on all the time.
