NoSpill oil drain plug - low profile
I just installed my no spill low profile drain plug. They are made in Canada. It is similar to ValvoMax but I like that they have a low profile one. now I just attached the tube stick it straight into a jug and I’m done with draining my oil.
The gasketed safety cap adds another measure of safety, in case the valve would fail. it comes with a copper crush washer. it’s a little tricky to twerk it down as it takes a 7/8” socket, and I had to use an adapter, but it’s tightens to 12 foot pounds. I'll add photos when i get a minute. Last edited by carcar123454321; 03-30-2024 at 06:06 PM.. |

I use a Fumoto valve on an Outback, and they do make oil changes very quick and painless. I don't mind it on the Outback because the plug is at a steep angle in the pan.
How long is the internal neck on your valve? One of the reasons I stayed away from them on the N52 is that any height on the neck raises the level of the remaining oil in the pan. Even if it's just 1/8″, that might prevent some metal shavings or other debris from leaving the pan. If it sits flush inside the pan, it's not an issue.
