F36 - Led Upgrade - Turn, Backup, Fog
Hi guys,
I've went through several threads and find ambiguous (different) information regarding the led upgrade. I'd like to upgrade my F36 with Led for : - Turn Signal (Front and Rear) - Backup light Mine is a F36 420d 2015/10 version. Can someone confirm the fitment for these lights? (LIST UPDATED with latest feedback 12/11/15)
Also I'd like to buy light that does not require coding (just plug & play). 6. Is this possible? => Coding always necessaryThx Last edited by UtilisaE9; 11-18-2015 at 07:07 AM.. |

You can find no-error canbus friendly LED's, but they're still not plug and play unfortunately. In our BMW's they'll flash for roughly 10 seconds every few minutes since the canbus checks if the lights are burned out or not.
The best solution is to just get LED's at a proper wattage that won't melt your wiring/housing, and code out the errors. |

Hi,
I would like to upgrade to LEDs also my F36 07/2015. Reading threads and checking my own car I have found out that: - Front Signal are PY24W, not PY21W - Reverse Lights are PW16W, although PW24W are also valid, not P21W Cree is a must, 50W much better than 30W and coding is always needed. |

Thank you for you replys!
So to wrap-up on the fitment for a F36 (4 serie Gran Coupe):
For the CODING I've created a thread on the dedicated forum: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1194562 (also this thread is particularly relevant http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1125832) Thank you for your help Last edited by UtilisaE9; 11-12-2015 at 09:33 AM.. |
