Thanks. Other than a lower suspension, Alcantara steering and bigger wheels, what does it get me? Am wondering if the 5k is better spent elsewhere? If they bump up the HP, now that would make it more attractive.

Exactly why I hate Idrive. 1 year and it is out of date already. Give me analog gauges on a sports car and connectivity to a smart phone then develop and update apps for the phone so the car is not outdated in 12 months time.

Easily done with software, turbos & boost are a good thing.

Can thank Benz for making BMW include a power bump in the competition package. The AMG perf package and S-modes forced their hand. Even though it is a weak 15hp bump, at least it is something.

upgrading software, be it IDrive, IPad or whatever is just something we all should get use to. Internet and Bluetooth connects make it painless.

I think the E46 ZCP got a steering wheel but the E9x didn't. I'm thinking it will be wheels, suspension, power bump, diff modes. The E9x package was either $2900 or $3200 if I remember correctly.

Agreed, it's a vicious money cycle they have us dependent on.

Only consisted of 10mm lowered ride height, sport mapping for EDC/DSC, style 359M wheels. For a lot of people upgrading their suspension through aftermarket, they skipped ZCP because it included dynamic damper control as standard. Last edited by hellrotm; 03-04-2015 at 12:26 PM.. |

Remaped mdm would be great .. Also wider wheels 10.5 in or 11 in the rear would be great as well.. Vouldnt care less about power bump.. Also for manuals to have full control of on n off on rev match would be nice..

Out of curiosity, how would people know if we've seen a ZCP mule or not? Outside of rims, the changes might only consist of ECU, suspension, and dampers.

So, the answer is that we might not know from spy shots. However, consider the fact that we've seen no recent M4 test car spy shots of any kind (other than the GTS which, again, has the rear wing). Certainly they would not limit the ZCP to just the M3, so this lack of M4 spy shots is casting some doubt. Edit: found the thread: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328077 So then, nothing like this out there for the M4. However, we are only now about the same time from the start of MY2016 as this thread was from the start of MY2010 which is when the competition package debuted. I'm still pretty skeptical here, especially with ynguldyn's noncommittal attitude when he's usually very forthright. |
