I had a 2017 OEM battery that's been in the car since I bought it some 7 years ago. I've been having weak starting issues for a little while. I dismissed them as thicker oil from the cold weather, but I went out to start it last week and it wouldn't even crank. I usually hook the car up to a CTEK tender if I don't use it for more than a week, but even after charging, no crank.

I replaced the OEM battery with a Braille Group 49 AGM that maxes out the installation holes in the trunk. She's a biggun! It's also 100 amp hours and probably 1200 or more CCA. Complete overkill, but so awesome.

Of course installing a new battery will fix a lot of electrical gremlins and improve engine idling, but I got another added benefit I didn't expect.

My keyless entry remote has never worked well, even after replacing the internal battery. I usually needed to be no more than 6' away for it to unlock. After replacing the car battery, my range has tripled. It's odd because I would have assumed it was all due to the strength of the battery in the transmitter. Evidently the power going to the receiver in the car was also weak, because it made a noticeable difference.
