Question Individual part numbers for the BMW M Performance Brake Kit components

Does anyone have the individual part numbers for the BMW M Performance Brake Kit components, or do you have suggestions on where I can find the part numbers?

I am trying to piece this upgrade together without buying the kit from BMW.

i've been playing with the numbers myself and unless you have some crazy good deals, if you ala carte all the pieces in the M-Performance kit it will cost way more than buying a kit.

low ball park for just the calipers
2x rear calipers, $1500 ish
2x front calipers $2000 ish

Hi - I already have the calipers. I’m going to paint them an oem color. I also have stainless steel brake lines. I need dust shields and whatever else is included in the kit

Realoem is great and shows me all the possible variations but I’m hoping someone will have the specifics for this kit

You need the parts that say S2NHA=YES

As an example:

Front discs:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_1949

Part no.2 - 34106797603 (grooved/slotted discs)

And pads:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2012

Part no.8 - 34116865460

Brake dust shields are the same

Go onto www.realoem.com

Put the last 7 digits of your VIN into the box at the top of the page and it'll bring up your exact car

Look at the brakes diagram and check to see if there's only one part number for the brake disc shield.

IIRC they're all the same inc the M3 & M4

You might. Check realOEM with your VIN and compare to the kit. I forget which models, but some do need a different shield which would fit the larger calipers.

Also, the genuine rotors which are grooved and slotted, but not cross drilled, are known to make some sort of ticking sound which can be bothersome.

Honestly I was going to go with the 2 part plain Zimmerman rotors I used my GF’s m240i

Man you guys make this look real hard. I could sell you my M3/M4 front and rear with Rotors for way less than all that. I also have Seemlegit adapters. Just so you know use Ebay for lower cost low mileage used parts like the dust shields.

Man, I'm just trying not to screw this up. I've only done routine oil changes and brake pads, this project is a level-up.

I've gotten conflicting info on whether I need new dust shields, but visually, I think the front 100% needs new dust shields. Someone mentioned I can just bend the existing ones back but I'd rather not and do this the right way.

Vin last 7: F713031

This is what I have on the car now for the rear:

Do you know which model BMWs came with the 370mm front and 345mm rear rotors so I can better ebay? Thanks for the suggestion

I believe it was the track handling package, but some cars did come with larger blue rotors from factory similar to the BBK that BMW sells which only comes in yellow, red, and I think gold? Have a read through this thread for determining your brake shield size - https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2004068

Its a carrier bracket which would adapt F8x calipers to F3x wheel hub, allowing you to put F8x rotors and calipers on.

I would only need Seemlegit adapters if I was running 370mm in the back. I'm aiming for 370mm front and 340mm rear

You are correct in identifying that you don’t need those adapters for your plans.

It's all to do with how they were spec'd from factory and whether the buyer chose for the brake upgrade

They can be retrofitted to all F3X cars IIRC; you just need to ensure you run 18" wheels at a minimum to clear the calipers

I recently upgraded my brakes with the performance kit, but didn’t use the pads. If you’re interested I’ll letting them go along with the read dust shields. My car didn’t need them.
