Dealerships are not capable to "make intelligent coding changes". All ISTA/P operates off is Vehicle Order (FA) for all programming / encoding of ECU's to factory specifications. Stumbled upon this post when trying to research why the NBT_EVO2 from a 2017 M2 does not have the "longvin" parameter but rather it is "UNBELEGT" and all 17 parameters are "00".

I am trying to use this feature in the process of activating carplay, having a correct vin but I am not sure what to do here. I successfully did this in the past with 2 other F series cars (2016 F20 125i and 2019 F30 330i).

Does anyone know why this is like this? Is there anything I can do to have this as a LONGVIN parameter with the correct hex for the 17 character VIN?
