Question 07 E92, best option for iPod control? I have BT, Voice, Assist, no iDrive

I've been casually researching this ever since I got my used 335i a few weeks ago. In my excitement I purchased a 6FL cable and found no USB port to plug it into. I looked at so many 07's that I mistakenly imagined that the one I purchased had USB too.

I'd love to skip / FF and see some kind of track information the display and be able to charge my iPhone. Right now I plug into the AUX under the armrest.

My car has Blue Tooth, Voice Control, Comfort Access, BMW Assist, no iDrive or 6 Disc changer. Ideally I'd like to do 6FL retrofit, but sounds like the MOST interface is an option. There's a lot of threads, part numbers and talk but with it comes the confusion

just got my MOST interface installed...it's okay, but I've had a lot better ones before on my previous cars.

I'm not sure how it works w/ out idrive, as i have navi and everything displays through there, but it cost me $310 from circlebmw and then another $200 for install/programming. I know you can install yourself, but you still need to take it in for programming. For me, it was worth it to just pay the extra $80 bucks for install.

There is some quirky/annoying stuff

-takes forever to load when i'm trying to view it by "songs" since i have a ton of music
-can't FF to next track and keep it on random
-idrive is laggy/slow sometimes
-displays song names only - shows artist only after you have selected/played song

feel free to ask away!

BlackBerry Stereo Gateway:

$30 (maybe closer to $40 with shipping) on Amazon
CD quality streaming to your AUX port.
Pair it with your iPhone and that's it.
Music will fade with incoming calls and fade back in when the call is done.
You control everything from your iPhone.

Is there an aftermarket version of this retro-fit, or are there any sponsors that sell it instead of going through dealer?

Do NOT get a Kensington LiquidAUX adapter. It's a piece of junk. It actually discharges the iPod when you turn the car off.
