How to prevent car to turn off ignition
Hello, how can I prevent my car to turn off ignition after some period of time?
I dont feel safe to code anything, when I know that it can turn off anytime. Is there any way to prevent it? |

hey Happy Hippo.
If you are using some app store software like bimmercode or carly to code options on and off, first that is relatively safe as you aren't flashing any ECU with software just upload config files. Second your software should be making a backup for the stock setting before you alter anything by default. Given those two details I keep the car running while I am coding it, with the exception of the DME (engine ECU). Are you asking how you can keep your finger from hitting the start/stop button while coding and turning the engine off? There is no method to accomplish that I have heard off. |

Keep the light in parking mode and fasten in the driver's seatbelt.
Do not code DME while care running...as zinner said.

My car has never turned off while using Bimmercode, until Bimmercode shut it off when it was done.
