Matt's Jet Black E90 335i

What's up everyone? I'm new to the BMW world, but definitely not new to the world of cars or of forums. I just picked up my newest obsession a couple of days before Thanksgiving, a 2008 Jet Black E90 335i. This thread will be dedicated to my new project!

My vehicle history is a bit varied, my first two cars were Mustangs, an 01' GT and an 03' Mach 1, both w/ mild mods. I loved those cars, but felt always kind of wanted a 4-door as my daily. Next, I picked up an 05' Subaru Legacy GT. I spent a lot of time, labor, and of course money on that vehicle, and I was very proud of the results:

A couple of months back, I finally decided I needed to scratch the BMW itch, and went on the hunt for (and eventually found) a near perfect 08' 335i, the subject of this thread. So far, I've been checking out the forums, learning what I can here and there, and setting up a list of mods I want to get done to the car.

Of course one of the first things any forum-loving enthusiast like myself wants to do is post up some pictures and create a thread to document all of my modifcations... so, here it goes. The car is my only vehicle and daily driver, so don't expect anything too crazy in this thread. I'm not one for keeping my car stock either, though, so expect mainly costmetic modifications, with some performance oriented modifications thrown in down the line.

Here are the specs on the car from the day I got it:

2008 335i // CPO w/ 38k miles // ZSP // ZPP // Navi

As of yesterday, the modifications have begun. First thing, 28% tint on the rear windows, gloss black vinyl to get rid of the chrome window frame and silver trim on the lower grille, and hardwired my V-1. Here's my lists of mods: complete and planned

Just about $32k out the door if I recall correctly. Including the 100k maintenance plan and CPO warranty.

I did indeed, they weren't so bad to me. It was the only black 335 for sale anywhere in Norcal at the time optioned how I wanted.

12/31 UPDATE!

A couple of additions and a photo session with a much better camera. I re-sized the pics so they'd upload faster, I think the higher resolution versions look much better. Please forgive the fact that the car is still dirty! Someday i'll take some pics after i've actually washed the car! Let me know what you think!

I plan on getting rid of the chrome window trim on my vehicle. I also have a black e90 335. I literally just started an account on this forum today. I will post pics up on from my Mac when I get home. Congrats on the purchase. My question to you is roughly how much was the vinyl wrap & is that the way to go for a black window from instead of chrome?

Definitely a good idea, I'm not a big fan of chrome, i'd recommend wrapping it for sure. The wrap cost my around $100 I think, not 100% sure as I got the tint done at the same time/place. As far as the blacklines, they're the **********s.com blacklines, not OEM. I think they're actually a bit more smoked than the OEM blacklines from the pics i've seen. But the quality on them is great, they fit perfectly and they use the stock bulb housing/wiring so there's no errors or aftermarket electronics.

New photos! I had the car all nice and clean, so of course it rained. Only a couple of them turned out decent. I'll get a proper shoot set up once I get the car clean again.
