Larger tires on stock wheels?

I have a 100% stock E92 M with the 19" wheels. I really like the look of the stock 19s so I'm not looking to go with any other rims, however it's clear that the M doesn't have enough rubber to support its weight or power. So I'd like to go wider w/o going w/ new rims, if possible.

I've come from the domestic side, where a 8" wheel is a 245 tire and a 9" wide wheel means a 275 tire. Given this, and that the stock M wheels are 8.5 and 9.5, would this work as well? I would assume I could do a 255/265 front and a 285/295 rear. I notice wheel well clearances, etc are much tighter on the M then in my previous Z06 and Cobra.

Anyone running this? Clearance/rubbing issues on the fender or any interior suspension components? Recommended? Thoughts/opinions?

I'm in the same position as you with my oem 19's. I've researched on here and with the width of our wheels, I'm going to likely go with a 255 in front and 275 out back. Just up the size a little bit from the 245/265. However, i am going to put 12mm spacers on all 4 corners, so I'm not sure if the 255/275 is going to work, i hope it does??we'll see....

I have 255F and 275R on my stock 19's. It's no problem.

What profile are you guys running with 255F and 275R? Are you still able to use spacers without rubbing issues? Thx.

i want to keep the oem 35 series profile. not sure if i can use 12mm spacers and not rub. my car is not lowered. without spacers i know we're fine with 255/275 35 series. i will need to search on here to find my answer.

i think thats a little too thick for the stock 8.5 and 9.5" wheel... better to stick with 255/275.

Yep...thats way too wide IMHO for an 8.5. I have 255 snows up front on OEM and they look a little weird b/c they protrude past the rim a little too much. Of course, not all tires are created equally, so maybe some summer tires would fit ok.
