Any boaters/fisherman??

It was worth a shot! Any fellow boaters/fisherman/etc. on e90post? Being from South Fla, it was not really an option for me

My son and I are fly fishermen - chalk streams here in Italy are incredible. We are going to try Lake Como this weekend in an inflatable kayak I just bought - huge brown trout. My guess is that in Florida trout are hard to find...bass must be the big sport fish...

My dad loves fishing so I go out quite a bit. He has an 18' Parker we use for ocean fishing. Mostly striped bass and blue fish.

actually i am just starting to get into salt water fishing. I am going to buy a rod/reel very soon and will be mostly shore fishing for blues and strippers on Cape Cod. I am definitely a newb fisherman but it sounds like a great excuse to drink some beers, get some sun, and have fun. If i ever catch anything my wife will cook it up for me no doubt.

haha awesome guys! Glad to hear there are some fellow fisherman. I used to go fly fishing up in the Appalachians every spring. It was great! Lot's of big rainbows and even a few Brooks. Never managed to catch a brown, but I definately want to! No trout in Fla, but plenty of offshore salt water fishing to be done!

I've got a 22' center console boat and although kind of small she gets the job done. Nice bass up there!!! We've got peacock bass down here...they are the twin-turbo version of largemouths

Here are a couple of sailfish from this past season. If you guys are ever down here let me know and we'll plan a trip!

BTW- never buy a boat lol. Great fun, but dear lord what a pain in the ass!

Big into fishing. Just caught this monster last week. I will say that I enjoy flyfishing for stream trout more since it's a little more challenging. My goal this summer is to catch a carp on the fly.

WOW nice bass man! I caught a carp on fly once in North Georgia, but it was sort of cheeting.... the fishing was real slow and the wind was haulin so the guide took me behind this guys dock where some carp hung out since he always fed them. The guide tied on this little brown furry fish ellet looking fly, I casted right by the dock and had a blast hahaha. I know it wasn't 100% legit, but hey that thing pulled on my Loomis 3 wt. like there was no tommorow! :rocks:

I love fishing too, mostly in my friends' bass boat but I really prefer to fish for Bream just off the banks in a small john boat. More peaceful. My dad took me deep sea fishing a couple years back, I caught some Mackerel but that's about it. I enjoyed it but damn that salt water makes you feel like you've been swimming in a pool of sugar water - sticky!
I caught 7 bass in my freinds' pond a few weeks ago. Sorry I don't have any pics of the fish, but I got some good shots of the party afterwards
That's me in the center in the first one, then sitting on my friends' lap in the 2nd. We ate all the bass I caught!

I grew up pond fishing for bass, moved to salt water as a teenager.

I've always lived near the ocean, until 6 years ago. Moved wayyyy inland, to middle TN. I'll have to go back to freshwater.

Boy do I miss fishing............

haha everyone says it because it's true! In all honesty I think overall it has been worth it for the fun I've had on the boat, but sometimes you just want to get rid of it so bad. Not to mention selling a boat is near impossible
