Did anyone else hate the G8X front? And now it's growing on them (me)?

I feel like I've hated every consecutive generation after the E46 (including the E9X I guess), but not as much as I hated the G8X design, and now it somehow looks good.

BMW voodoo / magic.

Edit: even worse is the new M2. Thought it was absolute garbage, but now the modded (mostly black) ones look good.

i've literally hated every new design the first time i saw it. none probably more than the E60 range. and then last year I bought an E60 and thought it looked awesome.

i wonder how much of it is just old man change aversion.

Same for me...I hated it at first like most everyone did...but now I appreciate it. Maybe because everything else on the market looks even more awful in comparison.

What's killing me now is the G87 M2 mods; truly hated the base as a fan of the F87, but now there's a bunch of aftermarket stuff that makes the E36 M3 influence even more pronounced, and frankly looks great.

Mostly just that rear spoiler.

As a successor to the G87 design it looks terrible, but as a successor to E36 design it looks amazing.
