Spare / Run-flat / Carrier

Assuming one would not want to give up the storage space, and rather wish to carry a full size spare and convert to regular tires from run-flats.......

Does anyone have experience with this? It seems like a kind of part that would fit more than one type of vehicle.

It blocks one tail light, at least partially, which would not be good.

This one looks less fancy, it is not BMW, and solves the door access problem, but leaves you an ugly pipe on your bumper:

Several Cayenne photos floating around with a much nicer looking carriers. None seem to fold down to take advantage of the X5 split door, other than the ugly one with the pipe.
