Tracking production - Steptronic Auto Transmission missing
Hi,
I ordered a 328i Sedan last week and on tracking it now shows the status in production. It shows all the options that I had selected except Steptronic Auto transmission. I called my CA yesterday and she followed up and later responded that my vehicle is a SULEV and since all BMW SULEVs are by default auto transmission, it is not showing on the website. I am worried because the Vehicle Inquiry report also does not show STEPTRONIC auto transmission either, though the purchase order with the dealer does show that. Should I be worried? Any thoughts/comments welcome. Thanks, Kunal |

When it first goes into production, it may not show all of the options. Same thing happened to mine. I didn't see all the options until it had been transported to the port and changed to status of at port, awaiting transportation. Not sure if that's the case, but I wouldn't sweat it until that happens. The system lags a bit.

It's common. I ordered my car and the options rarely showed up correctly. Some days it showed all of them, some days it showed some and some days it showed none. Don't worry about it, it's completely normal.

The full set of options on my car never showed up on My BMW, but the car received was completely correct vs. the order.

Like others have said, there is no need to worry. Most of the options on my 328i were correct, but I was missing a few and it added a few I did not order. I picked my car up last week on ED and everything from my purchase order was correct. Even after production was complete, it still had a few wrong options listed. If it is on the purchase order, it will be on the car, so no need to worry.
