New Sparkplugs and coils...less power?

Could really use some opinions on my car. Recently my 2007 328i started shaking and the car went into limp mode. After using my OBD scanner, it seemed to be a cylinder 3 misfire. Since I'm at 85,000, I thought I might as well do all six sparkplugs, and replace all ignition coils. To save some money from the dealership, I bought the following parts:

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/b...bos/10808270-P

http://www.autozone.com/external-eng...hc/937714_0_0/

I had the work done at my BMW dealership. Seemed to solve the issue, as the car runs again.

However, after driving the car around a little more, I really feel like I notice reduced power, and slight rougher idle. Even though these parts seem to be compatible with my car (I would hope the dealership would tell me if they felt the parts I bought were incorrect, they could sell me new ones that way), did I buy the wrong parts? Does the car need to get used to these new parts? After paying a decent amount to have everything done, it would be disappointing if I somehow reduced my car's power and effectiveness. Any insight would be appreciated!

After I changed my spark plugs, the car had rough idle (no rough idle on the old plugs), then I used JB4 reseted the adaptions and the car runs normal now.

It is worth a try. Since you have a 328i, no JB4. You need to find a way to reset it.

Did you gap the new plugs properly?

Yup. After checking for the proper gap, make sure that the ignition coil is seated all the way down

I would check the gap of the plugs. Since they are not BMW plugs the dealer may not have look at the gap

Thanks for the replies. I'm starting to think that I may have bought plugs with either two wide of a gap or that because I brought my own parts they didn't care to check the gap. Not sure what I'm going to do at this stage. MPG seems to be okay after more driving.

Do they change the transmission adaptation when they change the ignition coils and spark plugs? I feel this is having some impact if so.
