N55 Oil Filter - metal flakes

Guys,
I have done today oil change and just been curious and I have opened oil filter. Found like on the picture.
I was planning, to change bearings anyway, before I checked filter. But It can be done not earlier than in 4-5 months.
I know blackstone should be first thing. And I will do for sure.
But I just want to know so far if it’s very bad with metal flakes?
Thanks in advance.

Found metal flakes in my oil weeks before I spun a rod bearing. I would say you can drive it, however lay off the boost. No pulls no redlining until you get it done. Assuming you really do have metal flakes, the last thing you want is for your bearings to get hot.

Avoid high G turns as thats what tends to cause oil starvation.

Do you have Xdrive? I would swap the bearings for upgraded ones and if dont you have Xdrive, i would also swap the oil pan and oil pump for the ones from an S55.

Best of luck OP and hope you dont end up like me.

What was the cause of your bearing failure?

Those flakes are here at least one year and 10000 Miles. Found It Two oil changes before as well. I was not so stressed what is It, because of some small (ofhg, spark plugs, hpfp) jobs. I though they came because of one of those jobs.
