Paint e90 halogen housing black

Hey guys wondering if anyone painted their e90 Lci headlights black ? On an Alpine white sedan? Wonder how it looks like. I'm planning to do it on mine just wondering the outlook of it. Any suggestions or pics ?

That's a good contrast...If I have a white sedan, I would definitely paint my headlights black.

I have a black e90. I only painted the chrome shrouds and signal fins black. I left the bottom housing stock grey.

Feel free to photoshop my car white.

Kisho, was it difficult to break open your headlights? Did you bake them? Just a knife? Let me know please! I have adaptive xenons as well and i'd love to tackle this project but im wondering how difficult it is to open the headlights and then reseal.

-Mike

EDIT: sorry to hijack your thread!

You can crack them open in two different ways. You can bake them or you can use a heat gun and slowly pry them open. Mine were baked. I think I saw a DIY here somewhere.

If you're too afraid of doing it yourself, you can send them off to one of the shops to get it done for you.

I know this is bringing an old thread back to life.

E90 did you follow the similar DIY for the projector light guys? I wasn't able to find instructions for LCI halogen lights.

Thanks!
