2009 nav split screen feature.... help
hi guys,
i just picked up a brand new 09 coupe today. so excited. i set the nav screen to have a "split screen" display. and it works great when there's an actual destination inputted, and there's a reason to have turn by turn instructions displayed... but when i cancel destination, split screen stays up, and just occupies empty space. is there any way to have split screen only appear when there's an actual destination inputted without having to 'check on or off' split screen each time? thanks! |

nope...what you can do is assign the programable buttons to have a full screen settings. I, for example, have #1 set to split with onboard info....#2 is split with arrow display...#3 is full screen etc

I think it is "Split screen off" to return to full screen. And then, "split screen arrow," "split screen entertainment details," etc. For what it is worth, my presets are set as following: 1 Night mode 2 Home Address 3 Split Screen Entertainment Details 4 Split Screen Arrow 5 Split Screen Current Location 6 Split Screen On/Off

Yes, while the voice is speaking, adjust the volume. Same goes with separate phone volume, BTW; adjust while on the call. Why we don't have a GUI for these volume settings...don't know!

I suggest you save Navigation Voice as a button, too. If you need to repeat an instruction, just press the saved button twice. Press it once to shut it up or turn it on. Quote:
Also, you can speak the VC "Home address" from any window to navigate to home, so I stopped using that as a shorcut.
