Called BMW again today and the status is still Pre EU Port, so according to their system not in the country, so it seems my car may not have been on that boat which is disappointing. Especially as it went to that status 3 days before that particular crossing, so I was sure it would be on there!

Ordered: July 25th
Production week: 39 (which I make Sept 21/next week, although I've had previous cars built 2 weeks before the "Production week" shown in the system).

Although I was a bit of a kid in a sweet shop with the options (nearly every one ticked!) + Individual interior although standard exterior paint (I've heard Ind paint is the worst for causing delays).

I remember you saying now - however, both your 5000 codes and your actual build both took place at least a week before the production week shown in the system right?

Or did your "zero to hero" all take place in the production week shown in the system?

If you can afford it in the now, don't think about the depreciation. Enjoy it to the max. I could only tick a few boxes but still can't wait!

You had to ask ....just shy of 59k list before discounts

That said, I'm really happy with the deal and discounts

I know a lot of you will think, look what else you could have for that however, after the X5 M50d vandalism nightmare (see the Aston keyed thread) I wanted something fast and luxurious with all the toys for my daily driver/commute to the station (which I really enjoy - 30 mile round trip) but which also needed to have all weather/year (I live in the middle of the countryside) and towing ability for the Caterham + practicality + will fit in the garage I now have to rent at the train station (again ref X5 nightmare).

After much deliberation, I couldn't think of anything better or more suited than a spec'd up 335d touring as it is one of the few cars that ticks all of those boxes perfectly

I can't wait for it to arrive

It was built the week before it was scheduled and literally went from 1200 to 9000 in a matter of hours, I was surprised at how quick it changed!
