Hello!

I managed to install ISTA+ and I am trying to connect to my F36 with an ENET cable.

The problem I am facing is that even if the interface is listed under Connection Manager (with IP address and the VIN of my car), when I click on "Setup connection", it does nothing.

There is no error, but it does not read anything. Irrespective if I go for "Complete Identification" or "Identification without vehicle test".

The only odd thing I noticed is that sometimes ISTA presents a pop-up window that says "Warning" "Protocol dispatch deactivated" but it does not let me do anything about it.

I tried all the changes suggested (disable the Windows firewall, turn off/on the car, change the IP address, etc.) but nothing changed.

And it seems that nobody has this specific problem!

Any idea?

Did you install ediabas and visual c++?

The issue was the Visual C++ runtime libraries!

All good now - I just need to work out how to deal with fault 284e00 (Oxygen sensor after catalytic converter, Nernst voltage, signal: Open circuit).

I currently have the same issue.

What changes did you make to get ISTA working?

I’ve installed the program through mega thanks to , I’ve done all he’s asked but for some reason I can’t get my cars id to pop up after doing a “complete identification”. It seems the program can’t connect to the car. I’m using a klan to usb with the slider settings. I’m stuck at (the vehicle identification number cannot be determined from the vehicle. Please enter the seven character 17 character vehicle identification number to continue.)

Please help I’ve been at this for months.

Wrong cable for F series vehicles.

You need the enet cable 👍
