Best tire fitment for 2013 F30

Hello, I am planning the following setup for my 2013 BMW F30 335xi xdrive sedan. Can someone provide any advice on if this setup will cause any issues on the xdrive system?

Front Wheel: 19x8.5 Niche Sector Gloss Anthracite M197 5x120 +35mm offset
Rear Wheel: 19x9.5 Niche Sector Gloss Anthracite M197 5x120 +40mm offset

Front Tires: CONTINENTAL 225/40ZR19 96Y XL FR ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS
Rear Tires: CONTINENTAL 255/35ZR19 96Y XL FR ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS

You're good to go. This combo is problem free.

Great question! Simplest, most accurate answer is to go on the TireRack website and look up each tire. Go to its Specs tab where you will find its actual measured diameter. If the diameters of the two tires differ by 0.2" or less then you are within the Xdrive 1% rule If they are 0.3" or more different then you will endanger your $4,000+ Transfer Case.

Note: This rule of thumb works because the stock tire diameter is about 26.0" so all of the tires of interest are in that range, and the tire measurements themselves use 0.1" increments. I've calculated the 1% out by hand many times and it always comes down to this simple rule of thumb.

Do NOT rely on any internet calculators because they all use the tire size numbers on the sidewall which are only manufacturer ballparks- not accurate enough! I've seen examples where internet calculator claims a tire combination is within spec, but calculating with actual tire measurements proves that it's really out of spec.

Hope this helps!

the best staggered tire size combo for stock height x-drive that fits your planned aftermarket wheel widths and offsets best, is

235/40/19(26.4") front + 265/35/19(26.3") rear

this combination provides the most grip, fits the wheel widths best, reduces the unsightly x-drive wheel gap, provides better ride comfort and rim protection.

here is the said combination except yours will poke 5mm more in the rear.

conti dws06 not available in this size, so you need to get michelin pilot sport a/s 4 or goodyear eagle exhilarate.
