Any DIY repair recommendations for scuffed seat plastic?

The plastic on the driver's seat is scratched all to heck. Any paint recommendations that will not peel?

I plan on wet sanding it smooth but I know that will cause it to get worse looking until I cover it with some sort of paint.

Thanks in advance.

Garage List
Sand it with some 200 grit then maybe a wet sand with 800 then 1200 if you can find it and you shouldn't need to paint it.

Mine is in a similar condition. Post back with the results if you don't mind.
