Exclamation BMW Professional Europe 2010 HERE!

Hi guys,

Here you'll find the European Professional 2010 image for the latest BMW's using DVD's.
The map fit's on a DVD5 and has only English POI info.

I am not the creator of this image and I don't own copies for other systems. It works for my E91 2006. It's just a spot.

BTW this is the 2010 version. No additional 001 or 002 as they will only bring out one update a year.

Download it via Usenet here.

You'll need usenet access which is not free. This is not compatible with torrents. Don't ask me for help with usenet. Pls Google for it.

I downloaded it from alt.binaries.comp. It doesn't say Europe in the title though. Are you sure it is Europe and not N America?

thanks,

brian

NAVTEQ site still says 2009.1 for NA as the latest.

As far as installing, is it a matter of putting the DVD in and going from there? I have a US spec'd car (2010 335d) and am not sure if there is something about the Europe dvd that will pose a problem for my car's operating system.

thanks,

brian

The original poster said it worked on his 2006 model.

Realize that the older Nav systems (Pre HD iDrive) use Navteq maps. The newer ones (HD iDrive) use maps from Teleatlas.

If package worked on his 2006 model, it won't work on the newer models (2009 and above for 3 series, 2010 for 5 series).

There is no update that I have been able to find for the HD iDrive Nav system.

Here is a link to a post in another forum that has a RapidShare download container (.dlc).

To download:
  1. Install jDownloader: http://jdownloader.org/download/index
  2. Run jDownloader and install the updates to ensure it works properly.
  3. Download the .DLC file from this thread (1st post).
  4. Drag the .dlc file into jDownload, highlight it and click the start button.

If you have a premium account it is super fast, otherwise it will take a day or so. Mine is still downloading.

Notes:
  • The thread starter claims this is the 2010-1 update (and that the files were mis-named by the original uploader) and has the disc and box images.
  • The DVD is the 'light POI' edition, meaning there are fewer POIs and no SpeedCams. This allows it to fit onto a single layer DVD.
  • This DVD contains the map update for Europe only. It will work on US Spec cars, but it makes no sense to use it unless you're in Europe.

So then is this not the teleatlas version?

I wonder how you update the maps on the newer cars that are HD based?

I need Europe maps for a 2010 335d.

thanks,

brian

You update them by inserting an update DVD into the slot. This is per the owner's manual. However, there has been no announcement by either BMW or Teleatlas about new updated maps yet. If you are trying to replace your US maps for Europe maps, then I would contact your dealer for the European teleatlas DVD.

I was just on the teleatlas site and lists 2004 as the most current 3 series year... I would really prefer to get the maps right from teleatlas but their site doesn't give me much confidence and they don't have a contact phone number...

Exactly - They don't list the maps for the newer systems. Talk to the your dealer. I go to the Teleatlas everyone once in a while to see if there are map updates available. In addition to their not listing anything recent, the maps they do show are only for Europe.

Any chance the nonlight version is up for grabs aswell ? I don't mind burning duallayer to get speedcams.

Self-cooked non-light version of 2010

I successfully made a non-light version of 2010 by merging the new POI files from 2010 (after renumbering them based on a comparison of both ENG.LSC files) with the 'remaining' POI files from the 2009-2 disc.

Sure, some of my POIs are no longer up to date but having something is better than nothing at all..

Also added the very latest SCDB database and I am rocking!

BMW Pro 2010 Full POI upload
To add the complete set of POI's as found on the High 2010
Download the files
and use an ISO Editor to replace the existing TPD folder on the DVD5 with the extracted TPD set
You will end up with a DVD of 8.3 Gb

All 5 language folders are available as well as Speedcamera's in English, French and German
Speedcams will be found under Travel-Speedcams
read the whole thread though...it appears some ppl are having issues with the poi icons.
