The aluminum pieces were made slightly too large and we just needed to remove a bit of metal to make sure they were 100% correct. Nothing major at all but just time consuming

I just received my Lux V3 angel eyes and it is obvious where the metal was removed from the ends of the 3 locking tabs. Were these tested for proper fitment after they were reworked? Reason I ask is because I just installed them, but I cannot get the bulbs to "lock" into position. They fit into position, but they can barely turn. I tried using dielectric grease on the o-ring but that didn't help either. When they are turned on it is very easy to look into the light from the front and you can clearly see the 3 tabs and they are just barely "catching" the locking tabs on the headlight. I am positive they will fall out at some point unless I can get them to lock into position. Could the o-ring be slightly too thick? It definitely appears to be part of the problem. Suggestions??

As far as the actual performance of the lights.... I am 100% satisfied. Amazing improvement over the factory bulbs and very close to the OEM LED on my X5 50i.

I received mine last night and the same thing happened to me when I installed mine. Maxx2 said exactly what I wanted to say.

iewgnaw or MAxx2 did either of you call LUX and try to get an answer? I'm gonna be home from work in a few hrs and they were apparently delivered (according to tracking info)

I'd like advice on em' before I get home to install...

I'd call but I dont have the experience of having tried it yet so I'm not sure what I'd explain is the problem.

We already responded back to all our e-mails regarding this. With the X5M's and the X6 models the angel eye socket is a bit more snug then the 3-series. We have designed the lights to not twist fully on these models that it also improved the light of them like this. This is the way our lights have always been and there is enough tension to hold them in to place securely .

No risk at all for condensation since everything is within the sealed headlight already. Since there are no wires going outside of the headlight its already sealed up.

Information regarding high temperature days

On very hot days the inside of the headlight compartment may reach very high temperatures, and the LUX power supply has been designed to turn off if the temperature reaches 100 degrees Celsius. A Note on taking pictures of the LUX H8 angel eyes
