Best tire Opition Survey
Which of these tires would you pick if you were planning to do 4-5 track days and the rest all street. I want both good grip and decent mileage.

Thiago,
RS-3's are the reigning champ in this realm and they are also know for being reasonably priced. I also had really good experience with RE-11's which may have a tiny edge in mileage. These numbers are off the top of my head, but I believe RS-3s are 140 tread-ware and RE-11 are 180 tread-ware so the RS-3 are a little stickier but wear quicker. The difference is probably negligible tho. Everyone on this board seems to go crazy for Super Sports, but honestly they are still glorified street tires. Didn't you melt a set of these at the track?

For Ca., sunny and hot, I would pick the RS-3's.
If you get cold or wet, then no ( AD-08's would be better). If no track then PSS's.... They changed the wear rating on RS-3's to 200 so they meet the autocross rules..... same formula just changed the number....

Whoa, you are missing a lot of tires to consider on your list for extreme performance!
Yokohama AD08 is one to consider. Also Dunlop ZII, Falken RT615K and BFG Rival WTF is that Advan Sport tire? That is not a track worthy tire.

All remember it's a poll. Meaning, out of these choices which one would you pick. (I know there is other choices out there) if none post "none" I didn't add that to the poll.
Thanks

Answer also depends on your wheel sizes / offsets... Some of the tires listed above have limited size options. For example - rs3's are out if you have 19's.

Cool. I voted for the rs3. I would also consider Dunlop ZII and BFG Rival.

If the car plans on being driven on the street, the RE-11 is the best tire hands down. RS3 will give a migraine on the street as they are noisy and not the best in wet weather. They are superior to NT05's and quieter.
For comparison purposes, I was a full 8 seconds slower at Big Willow with Michelin PSS compared to Nitto NT05. However, I can't say the Michelin is a bad tire at the track, it holds up well, just doesn't have the grip and predictability of a more focused tire.

i had the PSS in the past. very good tire, also getting great reviews all the time by people. although its a pricey tire. i wouldn't run them on a stock M3 though, but a s/c M3 i would.
