Question 6 buttons at bottom of centre console below disc slot

For the pre-facelift models at least you have 6 buttons: 2 for driver and passenger seat heaters, PDC and roller sun-blind. That leaves 2 spare - what are they used for?

One is for NOS and one is for driver seat's emergency eject (surely E93s only)

B/W OP, do you know what is the button for which is under your seat next to under seat woofer? Have a good look at it tomorrow.

PS: Please start these funny questions threads in technical section. or you could write 1001 funny questions and ask all together.

My question was that there's 6 buttons in a row - 2 are for the seat heaters, 1 PDC and another for the roller sun blind (as the manual says). I'm curious if the 2 unused are for anything (manual doesn't show anything)? Any unused buttons are moulded as buttons but you can't press them in. On later models the 2 seat heater buttons got moved to the climate control unit.

Maybe you got a car with the rare bidet seat option.
Useful on long journeys.

You don't have to revive a boring thread. There's usually a reason why a thread lacks response and it's normally because people don't know, or people don't care plus you have a habit of posting random threads and then disappearing only to post in thread again some days or months later

The other buttons for information are used for Auto Start Stop, PDC control, heated seats, rear electric sun blind and possibly active cruise control. Also the E90 was offered world wide with many options for other markets so the buttons would of been used for those. Google will find the answers.

Well I found it interesting.

I hate seeing blank buttons on dashboards, it makes me feel like i'm missing out on something.

Luckily for me I've got the lci heater panel so my heated seats buttons are incorporated into that. If I hadn't I would be looking to source the missing buttons. Personally I would rather have buttons that don't work than blanks.
