M-tech Front lip from Ebay?

Hi folks. I am a new and happy owner of 07 e92. Thanks to you guys, I've learnt a lot about the car and got the perfect one. :-)

I looking to get an M-Tech front lip. I see some selling on Ebay. Examples: this and this. They say, it is OEM fit and quality, but price puts a doubt in me. Has anyone experienced buying these off the ebay? If so, is it a good deal and quality? Could you recommend any trusted sellers?

Appreciate the advice. TNX!

Just wait for an actual OEM used one, already painted your color, to pop up in the FS section.

Should run you somewhere between $100-150

Thanks!

I actually did search. Found a few close threads, but didn't get the answer for my question. If you please refer to the thread about this, I'd appreciate it.

You generally get what you pay for, and although some ebay aftermarket parts are fine, I've read many horror stories, too. Suggest just going for actual OEM. E.g., Tischer BMW sells pre-painted lips. It's more than $150, but the fit and finish WILL be OEM.

Spoke with a vendor, and he said the lip won't fit, since I have a sport package. I didn't know, that sport package includes a different bumper. Is that right?

As far as I can tell, my front bumper is no different from the standard package.

I really would like to get that m-tech aero lip. Any suggestions?

If you want the guaranteed fit and finish of the Genuine BMW Aero Lip - we run them on special here, and will gladly have it pre-painted for you if you wish.

I re-bought mines on eBay. You get your money's worth. Poor molding and needed a lot of work. I ran over a tire last year and wasnt eager to buy it again but now that I have the chance to mod my rear bumper, I
Might as well get back that aero lip.

Thanks Evan! I'd love to get the OEM lip, but, at this point, cost+painting on OEM is above my budget. However, I see a lot of other parts I'll be interested soon (snowboard rack). Saving your site for later.

Looks like tphaeng was successful with one from Ebay. Will take my chance and buy it from the same vendor. Hope they still have them in stock.

Ebay lip fit just fine, u dont even need double tape to secure the lip because of the glove shape at both edge. You may need to use heat gun/ hair dryer while during install to make the perfect fitment/shape.

If u can find a used oem, go for it, but i rarely see some up for sale and match the car color.
