True price of wheel refurbishment?

I was quoted just over £100 for each wheel, That's acid bath and powder coating. Extra for any welding if needed I was told. Is welding for fixing the kerb damage? And if so how much extra did you pay for an average damage on a front wheel kerbing?

I worked with mags over a year ago. We charged 100-120 Canadian $ per wheel, for any kind of damage. Dont do it in delarship btw, find a contractor directly, cheers

Welding is for cracked alloys, not kerb rash. The alloy refurbisher local to me charges £55 +VAT so £100 sounds excessive.

My local place who are very good and have equally good reputation (which I’ve used for both my winter/summer sets) starts at £60 per 16” wheel for powder coating - that includes tyre removal, acid strip, damage repair, prep, powder coating, tyres back on with new valve and balancing. Add £5 per wheel for each inch increment thereafter.

The only change to that would be diamond cut which adds another £10 per wheel regardless of size.

16” winter set x 4 = £220
17” summer set x 4 = £240

Your quote of £100 per wheel is excessive.

I recently put feelers out for the refurb and powder coating for four style 189's (2x 18x8.0 and 2x 18x8.5 staggered) that are in not too bad shape and got quoted £300 including VAT from two local places. NW England.

£45 to £60 here in Newcastle depending on size and style.
Personally I would wait until the summer to get them done.
