I get similar things from Porsche now and again.

They pitch them as though people ACTUALLY do live in some kind of strange historic postcard Californian world where James Dean might drive by (kinda grainy looking) in an old 1950's Ferrari Le Mans car waving with his goggles on.

It's weird and I don't like it. So I don't go. The reality will be dissapointing.

Exactly. I've no intention of showing up, can't be bothered, no point, I'll only end up on ANOTHER useless mailing list. Still makes me laugh that 5 years ago I bought a 3 year old Maserati and they are still sending me e-mails trying to tempt me (do they not know I've got a Datsun now ).
