What amp should I be looking at?

I have a LE Phoenix Gold ZX950, its a class a/b 6 channel amp but I dont know if its good for my setup. What do you guys recommend for an amp? I just figured since I had it laying around id use it, but maybe a class D would be better?

Right now I have the base system, I have a JL clean sweep, Im going to be replacing the 4 - 4" speakers with something (undecided right now, want something bassy but SQ as well) and the subs will be SWS8.

Here are the specs to my amp I have.
ZX950 SPECIFICATIONS: FRONT/REAR SECTION output Power: 4 ohm stereo @ 12/13.8 VDC 25/75 WRMS x 4 2 ohm stereo @ 13.8 VDC 150 WRMS x 4 4 ohm bridged @ 13.8 VDC 250 WRMS x 2 Crossover Frequencies 30Hz to 600Hz Crossover Slopes 24dB per Octave Subwoofer Channel Output Power: 4 ohm stereo @ 13.8 VDC 150 WRMS x 2 2 ohm stereo @ 13.8 VDC 300 WRMS x 2 4 ohm bridged @ 13.8 VDC 600 WRMS x 1 Crossover Frequencies 30Hz to 600Hz Crossover Slopes 24dB per Octave Frequency Response +/-1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz Signal to Noise Ratio >100dB Input Sensitivity 200 millivolts to 2 volts Input Impedance >10k ohms Input Voltage Range 10.5 volts to 15.0 volts Bass EQ 0 to + 12dB @ 45Hz Typical current draw at idle 750 milliamps Minimum Impedance 2 ohm bridged/1ohm stereo DIMESIONS, (This amp is huge) 17.16L x 15W x 2.0H

Any input would be helpfull

If you can interface it and find a space for it

And you have it you might as well try it. The output of the cleansweep will have to interface with it. Did you get the Technic Harness ?
Will it support the 2 ohm speakers currently in the car if
you don't change them out right away would be one of my questions ?
When you said you were replacing the speakers did you mean both the
speaker and tweeter in each speaker location ?
I don't know if it would be to big of a current load but I have seen some pretty full
trunks on this board.
The specs are a little confusing on your amp whats the watts per channel at 2 ohms and 4 ohms rms.
I haven't blown out my stock rears yet at 100 watts but I think there is a possibility they
will burn.

Yup itll support down to lower then 1 ohm (not really recommended but it does it) what exactly does the Technic Harness do? and can I buy it speratly?

I think i might take it to a place for them to run the wires through the car and ill hook up the amp, I really dont wanna rip apart this car myself.

Its a plug and play harness

It allows you to wire up the car without doing any cutting splicing soldering.
He can also supply factory connectors for speakers so you don't have splice or
cut those.

Technic posts on here all the time PM him if you want to purchase one.

There is an example of his harness in the above link for the base system
also it shows the factory tweeter trim and part numbers.
