What is a PPK tune?

Hello, can someone explain what a PPK tune is and what difference it makes to the car?

Just a factory flash on your ecu for the tune but the kit comes with other stuff. There is 2 versions for the E cars N54/55

Description:
M Performance Power Kit Version 1 - N55 Engine: E82 135i, E9x 335i from 3/2010 and on. BMW Performance Power Kit (Version 1: Engine Software only) BMW Power Kits are the only form of “tuning kits” approved and covered under the BMW of North America limited warranty. Power Kits are designed and tested by BMW engineers to provide the highest power increase without sacrificing reliability. Kit includes a red envelope containing a release code certificate that includes the key numbers required to install the Power Kit software at your local BMW dealership, along w/ BMW Performance Power Kit label.

• Horsepower is increased to 320hp (20hp increase).

• Torque is increased to 332 lb-ft (when equipped with an automatic transmission) and 317 lb-ft (when equipped with a manual or DCT transmission).

• Faster acceleration: 0.2 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 0 mph to 60 mph. 0.5 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 50 mph to 75 mph.

• “Exhaust Burble” sound during engine overrun conditions (new feature only applicable to Power Kits installed on 135i and 335i vehicles with the N55 engine using ISTA/P 2.43 or higher).

• Specially developed in-house by BMW engineers to work with 135i and 335i vehicles. Vehicles retain the original emission certification. Vehicles maintain the original fuel efficiency ratings. The vehicle’s original BMW Limited Warranty is not affected.

**Vehicles require option S840 - increased top speed limiter - oil cooler.

***Must include vin with order. Orders can not be cancelled or returned.

****Must be installed at your local BMW dealereship - contact them for labor quotes.
