You can get the M performance exhaust from the dealer.

Worth considering Akra as an alternative. When asked about the cool exhaust on your car, do you want to answer "it's titanium" or "it's Inconel" (followed by a big long explanation of what that is )" I'm just sayin'.

In addition. the M exhaust still has a somewhat wonky looking resonator design, not that different to the factory original, whereas the Akra looks more like a true twin exhaust (just my opinion).

The Akra is expensive, but so is the BMW exhaust.

Have the dealership install the Akra for you, shouldn't cause any warranty issues. They are both just slip-ons.

Javelin...can I ask what the akra goes for roughly? It seems like stuff is way costlier in Canada. I heard that the m perf exhaust is like 5k wondering if the akrapovic is more reasonable?

5K? That's a bit much, I got this in the mail one day, 3.5K + installation. In the fine print it says the dealer may even sell it for less, it's up to them.

I think the only good thing about the M performance exhaust is the sound it makes. It's tuned very nicely for the sound. I haven't heard how the Akra sounds, but I would imagine it's nice, too. My dream exhaust is the full Akra evolution. But that's like 6K. :S

The M performance exhaust is more like $3.5K (Cdn.), plus installation. The Akra is around the same price, but can be had for less - I got mine for $3K or so. I suspect that prices will drop next year (even BMW had the M exhaust on sale recently) as our car is out of production.

Picking up the Akra today, but don't intend fitting it until the new year. Going to get BMW to do it at the next service.

I'll take some pictures and see if I can record the sound when it's installed.

Now looking at the ESS tune to go with it.
