NA Premium 2023 update is available

BMW NA Premium 2023 has been released apparently according to various pay sites.

Patiently waiting the download link. surprising to say that the cic with updated maps still actually works pretty well around town. Whoever at BMW that are still providing the updates; i thank you.

Don’t have it yet, but it looks like the 2023 update pushes the map version to 112222.2.12.

Couldn't update to 2021 Premium
Couldn't update to 2022 Premium
Probably won't be able to update to 2023 Premium
Might as well just do an NBT retrofit at this point

Doesn't seem to fit on a 32GB flash drive, so I'll need to get a 64GB. Are others finding this, as well?

Yes I believe that applied to the 2022 maps as well.

The issue is that most 32gb usb drives are a bit shy of 32gb and they vary a lot from 29gb to 31ish gb and this needs pretty close to the full 32gb of space. I just partitioned exactly 32gb on a 64gb drive and formatted it and it fit, but all my 32gb drives formatted a bit too small.

Good afternoon everyone

I've updated my maps several times before but now I'm having issues

2009 335i, is updated so USB method will work

trying to install North America Premium 2023 (office was closed today because of snow, but it is warmer than predicted out so I shoveled driveway and cleaned off cars so everything will be nice)

just to confirm, the root directory of the USB drive should be folder "pkgdb" and config.nfm correct?

Not sure why it's not recognizing my USB drive

- smallest one I could find was 128GB. Is this a problem? I have an old 32GB but the maps won't fit on it
- is above correct re: root directory?
- got a battery low error not long after putting key in which isn't surprising. Car has been sitting all week and it was 15F yesterday, battery is old, running a recond cycle with CTEK charger now (I always have CTEK hooked up an on "supply" when doing map updates)

Windows is dumb and will NOT format USB drives over 32G as FAT32. Likely your issue. Check on how to make the USB key the right format.

Just did this upgrade and it worked great, very easy to do. I'm pleasantly surprised that my old car can use 2023 maps!
