Installing Performance Auto Shift Knob & Handbreak

Does any one know how to install the performance auto shift knob and hand break on an E90? Just ordered from Tischer not sure if it's a DIY install.

This will greatly enhance the shift from park to drive.

Yeah, should be. I can't remember reading if you have to depress the button there too or not.

Garage List
open the armrest, use a flathead and pop the clip from the back of the boot, pull it forward and you should be able to see a zip-tie holding the oem handle in place, just cut the zip-tie and pull the handle forward.

Yup, what he says. There's a zip tie holding the leather onto the brake handle. Your new one should come with a new zip tie which is required to install the new handle. Once the zip tie is cut, just a firm tug on the handle pulls it off. New one slides on and a small tap gets it seated in place. Zip tie the leather in place around the base of the handle and reseat the tabs around the leather and you're done.
