Hit pothole - can this be fixed or should I order a new rim?

Hi,

just bought this F32 440i Gran Coupe a few days ago. A few miles into my journey I hit a pretty bad pothole near Fremont CA on the freeway.
The left front wheel is now visibly bent and the tire a bit damaged. Driving-wise it's not really noticably at the moment, but something I should probably get fixed.

Question:
Can this type of wheel/rim damage be fixed/straighened or not?

New wheel rim would cost $499+tax (that's the cheapest I could find):

Haven't had the time to take it to a shop yet, but if you're convinced that this needs to be replaced instead of fixed I'd order the wheel already ahead.
I understand the tire needs to be replaced regardless.

I'm not sure if that specific damage can be fixed, but probably. My local tire place (Big-0 Tire) sent one of my wheels off to be straightened. If I recall, it was about $75 for that service

I've seen wheels bent much worse than that be successfully repaired. Tire is obviously done.

Had the same bend in my car on the left front wheel. Took it to a repair shop and they said they can try and bend it back but will have to grind the wheel down a bit. Had them do it but I couldn't help but notice that small spot where it was fixed, so ended up finding one on Ebay for $220.

I had this straightened..

The place I used have a 3D laser scanner with built-in sonar

(not my wheel results)

They heated it up, pressed it out bit by until it was near perfect, but sadly yeah they had to grind a little off the back to make it the best it can be, it drives like new now.

Years ago I had a wheel that was straightened by eye and DTI runout gauge.. that never felt perfect and had a tiny bit of vibration no matter how many places I had attempt to re-balance it after.

If you insurance coverage includes pothole damage, I would file a claim if my deductible is less than a new wheel. I hit a pothole and decided to take the wheel to a wheel shop for straightening. Once I removed the wheel it had a hairline crack from the hit. I checked my insurance policy and pothole damage is covered. My deductible is $100 for the incident. Once the bodyshop accessed the damages....found out the strut, strut housing, etc. was damage. $5300 worth of damage.
