HUD Not Displaying Entertainment Info

All:

I have HUD in my 2014 328xi wagon (F31) and have enabled the display of entertainment and telephone in the HUD settings menu, but neither of them actually displays. Every so often, an entertainment choice (e.g., Sirius or radio station, playing now on MOG, etc.), will flash on the HUD for a second or two and then disappear, but even that is rare. The only info my HUD displays is speed and NAV instructions, nothing else -- even though I have opted for all possible information to be displayed in the HUD setting menu.

Isn't the HUD supposed to display entertainment information? Is there something wrong with my unit? Any insights appreciated.

Thanks.

In my car, entertainment info only shows when using the control roller/buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. There is no permanent display of 'what's playing'. I believe this to be as per design

This is correct. HUD displays your current speed 100% of the time. All other items are "on demand" i.e. when you use them.

Thanks. I don't generally use the steering wheel buttons to scroll. Maybe that explains the occasional appearance of the HUD data.
