it probably would look decent...but with the money spent to do that, might as well just start off with a CSL style trunk.

if you going to mold just get the full replacement so it won't look out of place

Spoiler for $150, molding DIY supplies ~$50, have a shop paint it $250
vs. $1k+shipping + paint on CSL trunk.. you save a grand.

The idea is that you'll get the same look... molding blends it to the trunk.

thats great and all, but like all DIY's, the persons gotta actually do it themselves. LOL. if OP does do the work by himself, then shit, he'll save a load of money. if he pays a shop to do it, then we're back at square one and then i stand by my first reply about just getting a CSL trunk. plus if money is an issue, a used CSL trunk can be had for less than a G. and even more so if he finds one already pre-painted in same color.

It won't cost $1k for a shop to mold it. You'll still save hundreds by going the molded lip route.
It's just a different look as well.

Looks good... If you know what your doing. Otherwise it will look like crap and you'll be out of a trunk. And a csl trunk is only 600 from **********s.

why mold the performance spoiler?

are we talking about the performance spoiler that BMW sells thats usually in CF?

imo, that spoiler along with the m3 spoiler are the only ones that look good without being molded.

Do not think it would look good, its so sharp and aggressive, molding it would smooth out the lines and not look near as aggressive imo.
