I went in for an alignment and to my surprise most was within spec, it makes sense since it was only a subtle drop only thing that really was adjusted was the toe.

The owner of the shop was the one who test drove my car and he said it's the smoothest lowered BMW he's ever test drove. Said most guys with lowered BMW's ride like crap and pretty much ruin the car, said "you can close your eyes and you would never know you were in lowered car" so I was pretty happy about that. That's what I was going for when I decided to purchase the Dinan set.

I'm surprised at your tyre choice. It gives more than 1% of rolling radius difference between the front and back. This is not a good idea for Xdrive but maybe not an issue for RWD. Normally people go 235/35 and 265/30 or 275/30.

I went with the factory spec for M2 wheels, I figured BMW knew what they doing when they threw those specs together... Car is RWD so I'm not worried about it

Cool, shouldn't be an issue then. I put a set of 437M on my F36 435 with 235/40/19 fronts and 265/35/19 rear. They rub on the wheel well when turning so I'll be going going down a profile 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 when I change the tyres.

I'm surprised it's rubbing with 235/40/19, I've seen guys in the forums having the same tire size and haven't reported rubbing.

So I ended up changing my front tire to 235/40/19 just because of the gap difference from front and back.. The tire size made it appear as if the car had a slight rake, so it was an illusion and I couldn't live with it. So far no rubbing but then again my car isn't an xDrive.

Current setup 235/40/19 and 265/35/19

Question guys, I recently purchased a set of 437's for my f30. Two tires are worn but the other two have plenty of thread left. Their size is 255/35/19, should I purchase a set of 225/40/19 tires or should I just replace all?

Sup clutch city. That would depend on the wheel sizes. Are they staggered? Do you need to replace the front or back ones? The 255/35 should be the rear, and 225/40 are the front. I'd stick with the recommended sizes. I'm also assuming these are the replicas based on these sizes.

PS- (love the name, Im from Htown too).

Haha thanks man, they are OEM (came off a M3). I'll be purchasing the 225's for now, I'll post pics once they are installed

Here's mine with the 437m reps after refinishing them. And yeah, I badly need to drop it.

Who ever refinished them were they able to match the smoked clear coat that BMW uses? I ask because I've read no one has been able to match it and I have one wheel that has some ghosting (Damaged Clear coat) on one of the spokes.

No, I did them myself using Duplicolor Graphite wheel paint plus 2 gloss clear coats. I wasn't trying to do an exact match to the BMW feric Grey. I am more than satisfied with this result.

The fronts will be very stretched with 225 on a 9j rim. I've used 235 and that's at the lower limit of the reccomended size for those rims.

I found a company that sells the paint in the UK. They don't ship to North America so you'll need someone over there to buy it and ship it to you.

Hello! So, I'm wondering if the 437M would fit my 2017 320i? Is a stock suspension lowered on H&R sport springs and which size of tires I can run? Right now I have some 397 wheels with 225/45r18. Thanks for your help!

There had been much discussion on this, check out this thread:

Here's a helpful comment by CPT Smuggs:

To calculate tire height: ie 245/40R19

Take the width of the tire (ie 245mm)
then convert to inches (divide by 25.4)
then multiply by the ratio (.40)
then multiply by 2 (tire on both sides of the wheel)
then add the wheel diameter (19").

eg: (((245mm / 25.4) * .40) * 2) + 19" = 26.72" tall

*Don't exceed +- 0.5" the stock tire height to maintain your suspension, speedometer, comfort, etc.
*Try to stay as close as possible to stock tire heights.
*The speedometer comes ~1% fast, meaning a 1% increase in tire height will give you a true speed.

Wheel-----Front Offset + Tire----------Rear Offset + Tire-----------Total Height Front / Rear---Pct Diff from OEM Front / Rear
18" 400M (18x8 ET34 225/45R18 / 18x8.5 ET47 255/40R18) = 25.97" / 26.03" (stock)
19" 437M (19x8.5 ET35 225/40R19 / 19x9.5 ET40 255/35R19) = 26.08" / 26.02" REP (same as stock)
19" 437M (19x8.5 ET35 235/40R19 / 19x9.5 ET40 265/35R19) = 26.40" / 26.30" REP (+1.6% / +1%)
19" 437M (19x9.0 ET29 235/35R19 / 19x10 ET40 265/30R19) = 25.47" / 25.25" OEM (-2% / -3%) - Very popular with ACS / HRSport kits
19" 437M (19x9.0 ET29 235/40R19 / 19x10 ET40 265/35R19) = 26.40" / 26.30" OEM (+1.6% / +1%)
19" 437M (19x9.0 ET29 245/35R19 / 19x10 ET40 265/35R19) = 25.75" / 26.30" OEM (<-1% / +1%)
19" 437M (19x9.0 ET29 255/35R19 / 19x10 ET40 265/35R19) = 26.02" / 26.30" OEM (0% / +1%)
19" 437M (19x9.0 ET29 255/35R19 / 19x10 ET40 275/35R19) = 26.02" / 26.57" OEM M3 *Possible Rubbing*

A 35 ratio tire is generally around 3.5" thick sidewall.
A 40 ratio tire is generally around 3.7" thick sidewall.

I personally like the thicker sidewall for comfort (at the cost of some handling) and to minimize wheel gap (I don't plan on dropping my car more than 0.75")

Just wondering about your experience so far on these rims. I was planning the exact same setup on my f36 until I saw your post.
